Paneer Tikka Recipe


500 gms Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese)
02 Capsicum (Large Size)
02 Tomatoes (Large Size)
02 Onions (Medium Size)
500 gms Curd (Hung)
1/4 Lemon Juice
01 tsp Salt
01 tsp Red Chilli Powder
01 tsp Coriander Powder
1/4 tsp Jeera (Cumin) Powder
1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder
1/6 tsp Red Color
01 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
02 tbl Spoons Butter

Paneer Tikka Recipe

Cooking Instructions

1) Dice the Onions, Capsicum and Tomatoes and make sure you deSeed the tomatoes and there is no moisture/juice left.

2) Cut the Paneer into 2 inch Cubes for Paneer Tikka marination.

3) Add Curd onto a clean kitchen towel and making it into a pouch hang it around a tap, so that all the water content is relased and your left with just dry curd.

4) To a bowl add this dry curd, followed by lemon juice, salt, red chilli powder, jeera powder, cinnamon powder, red color, ginger garlic paste and mix well.

5) To this mixture in Step 4 Add the Step 1 and 2 ingredients and keep it in the fridge to marinate for 15 minutes.

6) Retrieve the Step 5 marinate from the fridge and Add them over skewer sticks and grill them over a pan with butter after cooking them on all 4 sides.

7) Remove the Paneer Tikka and vegetables from the skewer sticks and after slicing the paneer with a knife, sprinkle a tsp of Chat Masala / Dry Mango powder and Butter.

8) Secure the Paneer Tikka to a clean place , it’s now time to prepare the Paneer Tikka Masala.

02 Onions (Large)
03 Tomatoes (Medium Size)
04 tbl Spoons Oil
02 inch Cinnamon Stick
01 Black Cardamom
05 Cloves
03 Green Chillies
01 tbl Spoon Ginger Garlic Paste
02 tsp Salt
02 tsp Coriander Powder
1 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
01 tsp Garam Masala Powder
1/2 Cup Curd
150 ml Water
01 tsp Sugar
02 tsp Kasuri Methi (Dry Fenugreek Leaves)
1/6 Cup Fresh Coriander Leaves

Paneer Tikka Masala

Cooking Instructions

1) Blanch the Onions and Tomatoes, and make a fine paste of them respectively, keep it aside for later use to make the Paneer Tikka Masala.

2) To a skillet/kadhai Add Oil, and whole spices like Black Cardamom, Cinnamon stick and Cloves, followed by Green Chillies and Onion paste, saute` for 2 minutes.

3) Add ginger Garlic Paste, Salt and saute` for 5 minutes, Now pour in the Tomato puree, Coriander and Red Chilli Powder and lower the flame and simmer by covering with a lid for 15 minutes.

4) Add Garam Masala and Salt and mix well, put off the flame, let this masala cool down to room temperature, now Add Curd and give it a gentle mix, put on the flame and keep cooking at a low flame.

5) Add 150 ml of water and sugar, now Add the Paneer Tikka we prepared earlier, Cover with a lid and cook for another 10 minutes at medium flame.

6) Uncover the lid, add Kasuri Methi and Garnish with fresh Coriander Leaves, Serve Paneer Tikka Masala hot with Chapati’s and Roti’s enjoy with family and friends 🙂
